SARCOMAFREE FOUNDATION
My name is Plamena, and in 2022, I lost my beloved man from a mix of Sarcoma cancer. Before that we had 10 beautiful years together, growing up and exploring life. I miss him, not just once in a while, but every minute. Some may see this as just another memorial page. But if you look closer, you’ll see that this project, powered by love for Ivo, is all about celebrating love and helping others.

There is nothing more terrible than seeing your closest person in agony and you not being able to help. One of the hardest facts is, that Ewing family cancer is more common for children and young adults. This story motivated me to focus on helping those impacted by sarcoma. In 2023, our family established a foundation to gather resources for sarcoma research. Though my fiancé is no longer by my side, his memory serves as the driving force behind our foundation. This project is powered by love and we work completely pro bono. Our ideal purpose is to make a difference for those affected by sarcoma.

- Sarcoma cases constitute about 15% of all cancers in children
- Some sarcoma cases are not curable, especially those that have spread to other parts of the body.
- One of the most common types of chemotherapy for sarcoma was introduced in the 1970s and has since been a standard chemotherapy protocol for various types of cancer, particularly in pediatric oncology.
